On Friday, January 3, 2020, I had a new system installed in my home. I am paying $8,000++. Today, January 31, 2020, a repairman came to inspect the system. He indicated to me that a bulb had to be replaced. I questioned that. A new system has been installed. The repairman indicated that they put the old blub in from my all system. I was under the impression that I was getting a new system. Why was an old bulb put into the system? Today, I paid $110 for a new blub. I did not agree/did not sign the acknowledgement.

Correct, do not use them! Their technicians are not knowledgeable, they do not install units correctly so when the freon leaks out due to a faulty install they don't think they should replace it. We have had numerous problems with them, and would not recommend them to anyone! They send Techs out whose sniffers to detect leaks does not even work! They must get friends to write the good reviews. And then they get a lawyer to send letters to get you to pay for their *** service!!! Stay away from Guy Smith!!!! This has been happening for the last 7 years, now is 2016. Also, they do not honor their warranty!!!

Guy Smith Heating and Cooling - Fast, Fair and Friendly

I called Guy Smith Heating and Cooling because they advertised same day service on Google. I had just hung up the phone and had been told by One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning that it would be two weeks before they could come out because I was not a 'preferred customer'. Well, preferred or not Guy Smith Heating and Air Conditioning was there within a few hours and had my air conditioning working once again. It cost me less than $200 and I feel like I received what I was expecting from Guy Smith Heating and Cooling and will use them again when the need arises.

Guy Smith Heating and Cooling takes advantage of the elderly

My father who is 83 still lives in his home. When Guy Smith called to inquire if they could come out to do an annual inspection I agreed. They were running a special to check out the unit for $75.00. I was shocked when I got to his house and saw they had gotten him to sign a contract for over $7,000 to replace the heating and air conditioning unit. They had also gotten him to make pay $6,000 on a credit card. I was livid. In addition he was coersed to check the box waiving his right to cancellation. I cancelled it anyway, and they allowed it, but they charged 15% cancellation fee. My advice--- Don't call Guy Smith Heating and Air Conditioning........................

I can easily see this is a fake complaint - just look at the date of this and then look at the exact worded complaint back in 1975 - that's funny her father was 83 in 2008 and in 1975. I've had Guy Smith do hvac work and never had any real problems that the owners or managers who are family members didn't address right away and correct.

No company is perfect but they do the best to try to be.

It's funny that we had just let go a young lady a few days before this was put online and her father was 85. This is tale is completely untrue.

Furthermore we have never charged a fee to cancel any service call or contract. We only have customers sign away the 3 day right to cancel if they are having or wanting an install done that day or the next day bacause the 3 day right would of course not valid since the work would have already been completed. we treat any person young or old the same. If they call us to do work for them we do what they want.

if a older person has a daughter call us then we only deal with the daughter etc. it's just that simple.

We are a family owned and operated company. We have been in business in VA since 1968 for good reason we don't rip off people we treat them right.
